The game was ported to Sega Game Gear and Sega Master System (Europe only) in 1993. Along with different levels and inferior graphics, sounds, and gameplay, both omit Max as a playable character. The original game was also ported to arcades using Sega's Mega Play arcade board (based on the Genesis hardware) in Europe, Australia, and Asia. The game later received an enhanced downloadable port for the Nintendo 3DS (as part of the Sega 3D Classics series), adding stereoscopic 3D support and new game modes.
@get2sammyb The devil is in the vague detail of the PS Blog post...even taking out the cloud streamed/ PSNow ps3 games,how many are left as ps1/2 & psp is anyone's guess! And for us PS Plus Deluxe territories,its even a bit vague if ALL the ps1/2 & psp games will be downloadable! ?Like some of the suggestions ala SSX Tricky, Twisted Metal 2 etc. ?Would love to see Suikoden 1 & 2 especially, but then again wish they'd come in a Castlevania style compilation to actually buy like you could buy them on ps3 as ps 1 classics!Blood Omen Legacy of Kain, the underrated (& delisted on EU PSN),Alundra, The Adventures of Lomax (Lemmings inspired 2d platform game), Colony Wars, & possibly original Rayman & the Dino Crisis & classic RE Games are just a few.On the ps2 front,would suggest Maximo & Maximo Army of Zin,(though would rather buy them on psn), NFS Underground 2,Gran Turismo 3,& GTA LCS/VCS though much like original Vice City & San Andreas I'm sure there's a reluctance to deal with licensed soundtracks mores the pity! Saw a story that Insomniac teased a ps2 image of Ratchet & Clank, so the ps2 games & Sly Cooper would make great in-house choices! Beyond Good & Evil perhaps though its horrid controls have aged badly sadly.Dare say I'll think of some more later! Though most of these ones I'd rather buy them than have to rent them!
